HandMade In Japan Fes is one of Japan’s largest creator festivals, held every six months. Approximately 3,000 artists from all over the country gather to exhibit and sell a wide variety of original works, including accessories, bags, interior goods, and pottery. In addition to experiencing craftsmanship in over 70 different workshops led by popular creators and traditional craftsmen, you can also enjoy live music, comedy shows, and a selection of homemade food.
The atmosphere of so many artists creating in real time on large art supplies is truly impressive.

There is also a demonstration of the Nambu stipple technique, which creates a fascinating contrast between the fine details of the sculptures and the large scale works. The cat sculptures are lovely.
